Jeff Trudeau Starts Off Hot


Jeff Trudeau is off to a good start today. In one of the first hands of the day, Trudeaux had pocket nines against 9-8. He and his opponent got all the chips in on the turn on a board of 9-8-6-A-5. Trudeau eliminated his opponent and nearly doubled up in that hand.

Shortly after the set of nines hand, Trudeau was involved in another big one. The cutoff raised to 300, the button called, the small blind called, and Trudeau three-bet to 1,625 from the big blind. The cutoff and button folded, and the small blind called.

These two were heads up to a flop of KcKcKc and the small blind checked. Trudeau bet 1,000 and the small blind called. On the Kc turn, the small blind checked and Trudeau bet 3,350 this time. His opponent called and they saw the Kc on the river. The small blind checked, Trudeau bet 7,000 and his opponent called again.

Trudeau showed KcKc for yet another flopped top set, good for the pot.

There's a big crowd gathering around the middle table, what say we all go over and see what's taking place. Look, there's a bunch of players with all their stacks in the middle, and most of them are standing up behind their chairs. Lucky Loizzo

Dan Loizzo makes it 20,00, then it is Ben Freeman from the SB making it 70,000 to go. Loizzo hesitates, sees with a call both players are going to have equal stacks a bit less than what's going to be in the pot. Yep, pretty good chance the chips get in the middle at some point in the hand if he calls. Loizzo finds a call, then both players check the J-5-3 flop. Freeman moves all in on the 8 turn and Loizzo slips in to the tank, weighing his potions. the dealer counts out the stack, 124,000, and Loizzo looks to be almost exactly the same. He finds the call, sees turn over AK .. and Loizzo shows QJ. The Jack holds and Loizzo has him covered by less than one SB. Freeman finishes 16th, cashing for $2,617. Loizzo moves to 400,000.
