Kevin Grabel Bags Chip Lead in Flight B


Flight B of the Main Event drew 68 entries, and after playing the same amount of time as Flight A, they got down to 11 players. Kevin Grabel held the chip lead through most of the day, and finished the day as the chip leader by a small margin with a stack of 238,500. Grabel is also the overall chip leader for the first two starting flights, with one flight to go.

Austin Buchanan finished flight B second in chips (and second overall) with 235,900, followed by Jose de la Cruz in third with 172,500. Nick Owens (152,600) and Griffin Malatino (103,700) round out the top five stacks for Flight B in fourth and fifth. Vanessa Rousso and Mike Raimon also advanced from this flight with chip stacks of 76,100 and 74,200, respectively.

Some familiar faces that were eliminated in Flight B were John-Christian Templeton, Jeff Baar, TK Miles, Steve Allen, Jason Oloughlin, Jenny Marczynski, and Justin Zaki. Several of these players got back in the running by registering for Flight C, and still have a chance to advance and win this thing tomorrow.
