John Racener Chips Up with Set of Kings


Local poker pro John Racener is here, and he is chipping up early.

Three players put in 700 preflop and the flop was KcKcKc. The big blind bet out 1,200, the next player folded, and Racener called in the cutoff.

These two were heads up to the Kc turn, and the big blind bet 3,000. Racener called again.

On the Kc river, the big blind checked, and Racener tossed out a bet of 11,000. His opponent called and Racener showed KcKc for kings full of twos.

His opponent showed KcKc for two pair, kings and twos, and told Racener, "Well I couldn't put you on a two." Racener laughed and collected the chips.

There's a big crowd gathering around the middle table, what say we all go over and see what's taking place. Look, there's a bunch of players with all their stacks in the middle, and most of them are standing up behind their chairs. Lucky Loizzo

Dan Loizzo makes it 20,00, then it is Ben Freeman from the SB making it 70,000 to go. Loizzo hesitates, sees with a call both players are going to have equal stacks a bit less than what's going to be in the pot. Yep, pretty good chance the chips get in the middle at some point in the hand if he calls. Loizzo finds a call, then both players check the J-5-3 flop. Freeman moves all in on the 8 turn and Loizzo slips in to the tank, weighing his potions. the dealer counts out the stack, 124,000, and Loizzo looks to be almost exactly the same. He finds the call, sees turn over AK .. and Loizzo shows QJ. The Jack holds and Loizzo has him covered by less than one SB. Freeman finishes 16th, cashing for $2,617. Loizzo moves to 400,000.
