Jeff Trudeau vs Bret McCown


Carlos Loving opened the action to 9,000 in late position, Jeff Trudeau (pictured, left) three-bet to 24,500 on the button, and Bret McCown (pictured, right) called in the big blind. Loving got out of the way and it was heads up.

Both players checked the KcKcKc flop and the Kc turn and the river was the Kc. McCown checked and Trudeau bet 33,000. McCown thought for a few minutes, and asked Trudeau if he would show if he folded. He got no response and eventually, McCown called.

Trudeau showed KcKc for the second nut flush and McCown mucked.

There's a big crowd gathering around the middle table, what say we all go over and see what's taking place. Look, there's a bunch of players with all their stacks in the middle, and most of them are standing up behind their chairs. Lucky Loizzo

Dan Loizzo makes it 20,00, then it is Ben Freeman from the SB making it 70,000 to go. Loizzo hesitates, sees with a call both players are going to have equal stacks a bit less than what's going to be in the pot. Yep, pretty good chance the chips get in the middle at some point in the hand if he calls. Loizzo finds a call, then both players check the J-5-3 flop. Freeman moves all in on the 8 turn and Loizzo slips in to the tank, weighing his potions. the dealer counts out the stack, 124,000, and Loizzo looks to be almost exactly the same. He finds the call, sees turn over AK .. and Loizzo shows QJ. The Jack holds and Loizzo has him covered by less than one SB. Freeman finishes 16th, cashing for $2,617. Loizzo moves to 400,000.
